Treadmill Stress Test

Our Services

A technician will first place electrodes, which are connected by wires to an electrocardiogram machine and a cuff on your arm checks your blood pressure. During the test, you will begin walking on the treadmill and as the test progresses, the speed and incline of the treadmill increases. The test will continue till your heart rate has reached a set target.

However, the test may prematurely be terminated if you display the following signs and symptoms:

  • Moderate to severe chest pain
  • Severe shortness of breath
  • Abnormally high or low blood pressure
  • An abnormal heart rhythm
  • Dizziness
  • Certain changes in your electrocardiogram

Do note that you may stop the test anytime if you are feeling unwell to continue.
